Kursi National Park

On the Eastern shores of the Sea of Galilee lies ruins from an ancient Jewish Fishing Village from the Mishnaic and Talmudic periods.  Discovered accidentally after the 1976 Six Day War, excavations revealed remnants of the largest Byzantine-period monastery in Israel, built during the middle of the Fifth Century.

A bench in the park, known as “the magic bench” attracts many visitors, some of whom say special wishes they have made while sitting there have come true.
