Ein Avdat National Park

Located in a beautiful canyon deep in the Negev desert, the Ein Avdat National Park is part of Nachal Zin, the longest Wadi in the NegevHike through this magnificent oasis, with many springs converging together from all sides, creating a number of pools which descend in waterfalls to the lower section of the canyon.  At the northern, or upper section of the park are caves which were used by the Byzantine Monks during the 6th century.  The caves are decorated with prayers and designs engraved in the rock.

This one hour hike is pretty easy, but does require mobility to climb steps and ladders.

The park is open from 8:00-16:00 in the winter months, and from 8:00-17:00 in the summer months.
